Netto Bar

The oldest bar in Otrobanda, home of the world famous 'rom berde' (green rum), which is 100% homegrown and can only be found in Curacao.

Ernesto “Netto” Koster founded this bar in the 1950s and after retiring at the age of 87, he continued to visit his beloved bar. He died in 2002 six months before his bar's 50th anniversary.

The bar is decorated with football memorabilia, pictures of Dutch royalty and other fun, slightly tacky things. Jesus “Chu” Zimmerman (Netto's child prodigy) continues to run the business.
